Peyton Manning’s Knee vs. Tom Brady’s Foot

Football season is almost upon us and the two best Qbs in the league have injuries to their lower extremities.  Some questions I have:

Which QB injury is worst?

Based on what’s out there I think Peyton Manning’s injury is much worse.  Michael Lombardi, a guy who supposedly knows the right people in the NFL, says the Colts may be hiding Peyton’s Injury. Don’t forget that Peyton has never missed a game though.

Does Training camp even matter anymore for NFL Veterans?

No, every year QBs barely play and don’t get a rhythm.  Large, fat, lazy lineman try to hold out just so they don’t have to go to training camp.  Last year Michael Strahan was a perfect example and it didn’t seem to effect their team.

Would the Patriots or Colts be screwed more if their QB could not play?

This is a tough one.  Both teams would obviously be screwed.  I would have to venture to say that the Colts need Peyton more pretty much based on the coach factor.  Belichick would do a better job at plugging someone in like Matt Cassel and getting more out of him then Dungy would be able to get out of his backup.  Plus I think the Colt’s running game is gone without Peyton in there.

Is either QB downgraded in my fantasy football league because he can’t play?

I wouldn’t downgrade Brady as he seems like he will be ready.  I would downgrade Peyton though due to the article above.  For me I now rank my qbs Brady, Brees, Romo, Palmer, Manning instead of Brady, Manning, Brees, Romo, Palmer.
