Washington Nationals’ Top Five Biggest FAILS

The Washington Nationals came into MLB in 2005, replacing the Montreal Expos. There hasn’t been a lot of achievements for the Nationals, but if there is one memorible thing about the Nationals is their mistakes. Here is the top five Washington Nationals fails.

#5 is, obviously, the misspelling of the word Nationals on the jersey. Apperantly, the people who makes the jerseys screwed up and spelled “Natinals” instead of  ”Nationals”. Ryan Zimmerman and Adam Dunn, who were wearing the jerseys in a home game versus the Marlins, had to have those jerseys replaced during the third inning. Shame on you, Majestic Atheletic.

#4. I don’t have any video or pictures for this fail, but here’s how it went.  The Nationals ball girl tried to field a FAIR ball, thinking it was a foul ball. She actually posted a video about the incident, but she took it down from YouTube.

#3

That what was on MASN2 during a nail-biter. The Nationals were about to make a comeback and Senator Tom Coburn came up on MASN2 while the game was in progress.  Things were screwed up as people, who had Comcast and Cox, turned into MASN2 all of a sudden see Senator Coburn talking on C-Span 2. Now, to be fair, this wasn’t really a fail on the Nats. This was more of a fail on MASN2’s part, however, don’t make fun of me.

#2. This fail is actually a fail on the grounds crew. These guys were trained to put the tarp over the field in ANY weather. The grounds crew tried to put the tarp over the field during a home game against the Phillies and FAILED COMPLETELY. They fail was so bad that, they had to bring in the fans and help them out. To be fair, there wasn’t enough people in the grounds crew. As a result, they had to bring the last ten fans in the stands to help them out. It’s bad enough that the fans had to watch the Nationals, but now they had to do physical labor because the people who were supposed to do that failed completely? Weird.

#1 shows the Nationals mascot, Screech, busting a few moves to Micheal Jackson’s “Thriller”. On ESPN Zone in D.C. on March 2, 2009, his dances to “Thriller” in his re-introduction. The fail is, he is a bad Micheal Jackson impersonator. I admit, I couldn’t do any better than that, but it was just a huge fail. It doesn’t end there, however, at around 1:15 into the video, he starts dancing to “Canned Heat” (the song Napoleon Dynamite danced to) and the most he did was jump around and moves his hands (not dancing). Then at 2:25 into the video, he dances to “Single Ladies”. I don’t want to bore you with the details. Here’s the video. The BIGGEST Washington Nationals fail.

Whats Wrong With Running Up The Score ?

1brooking0118So, did the Vikings run up the score against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday?  Of course they did, Brett Farves 11 yard touchdown pass to tight end Visanthe Shaincoe when the game was already in hand made it 34-3. This touchdown pass really upset a lot of people including The Cowboys.  Keithing Brooking Cowboys linebacker after the touchdown walk to the Vikings sideline voicing his displeasure of the play calling by head coach Brad Childress.  After the game Brooking called the Viking classless.  Brooking said, “I thought it was classless and disrespectful.” The running up the score even sparked some heated debate on the Fox post game show with Jimmy Johnson and Terry Bradshaw. Johnson didn’t think there was anything wrong with the play, Bradshaw disagreed with the Viking decision to pass the ball.

So I ask you, Whats Wrong with running up the Score ? I think it was a good thing when Bill Belichick and the big bad Patriots in 2007 were running up the score on teams.  The team was making a statement to the rest of the league, who thought there championship were tainted do to spy gate.  Have we gone soft as fans that we care about the feelings of the other team.  Maybe this goes back to our youth in little league when they had the ten run rule. If a teams was up ten runs they turn off the scoreboard and play the rest of the game not keeping score. NEWS FLASH this is not little league it’s Pro Sports, no matter how bad a team gets beat the players are still going to collect a game check so, stop worrying about there feelings.

Finally, do we remember the name Micah Grimes the girls High School coach who got fired for winning a game 100-0. Grimes got fired for not apologizing about his teams win. Losing his job for running up the score meanwhile the girls who lost 100-0 were all over TV and invited to all types of events. So, don’t feel sorry for the teams that loses big even in High School and Little League. Maybe, if we start there we won’t feel bad about the Pro Players that make millions getting the score ran up on them. So, is it wrong to run up the Score HELL NO.

The Unknown NBA SuperStar

90043178SC012_Wizards_HawksThe 2010-11 NBA free agent period without question will be the best free agent class ever. With players like Lebron James, Steve Nash, Dewayne Wade, Chris Bosh the list goes on and on with great talent. Most NBA teams have position themselves to cash in this off season with a franchise player.  But, one free agent that NBA fans aren’t talking about is the man who can make a good team instant NBA Championship Contenders is Hawks shooting guard Joe Johnson.  Johnson will be 29 year old this off season and, will be a huge splash for some NBA team.  Johnson is the biggest Superstar in the NBA who no knows about unless you live in Atlanta. The Three time all Star is capable of taking over a game at anytime with his great shooting. Just ask the Boston Celtics who drafted Johnson tenth overall in 2001. Johnson torched his former team Monday Night with 36 pts, 12 of his 36 coming in the fourth quarter including a 5-7 for three point range. Johnson who turned down a contract extension in early October from the Hawks, who offered him 4 years at 60 million is looking forward to becoming a free agent. Johnson has averaged over 20 pts in 5 seasons with Atlanta including 20.8 so far this season. Johnson also, had success with the Phoenix Suns in three plus season, Johnson averaged 15.2 pts for the Suns before coming to Atlanta. Johnson who is entering the prime of his career and is ready for another big pay day. Who knows  maybe your team will be the one to pick up this unknown NBA  Superstar.  So, yeah he’s no Lebron or D Wade but, he can take over a game with his shooting for the outside just as good or if  better than they can.
